Abram Fuentez

Abram Fuentez, 69, of Odessa passed away on December 4, 2024 in Odessa.

Visitation will be 10:00AM to 9:00PM Tuesday, December 10, 20024 at Martinez Funeral Home. 

Rosary will be 7PM Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Martinez Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held 10AM Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Abram was born in Pecos, TX to Gregoria Lopez Fuentez on September 28, 1955. He went to school in Odessa. He married the love of his life, Sylvia Payen on March 19, 1975 in Odessa. He graduated from Ector High School. He worked in hydraulic sales for 50 years.

If you knew Abe, AKA Grampa, you knew that he was never shy or concerned with people’s opinions of him. He lived life fearlessly and by his rules. He was the life of the party and didn’t shy away from the center of attention. Abe was a social butterfly beloved by many people from all walks of life. As we lay him to rest, we can confidently say that he left this life with no regrets.

Abram is preceded in death by his wife Sylvia Fuentez, mother Gregoria Fuentez Cortez and brother, Manuel Tarango. 

Abram is survived by son Abram Fuentez, daughters Melissa Fuentez, Joanna Muniz and husband Ramon all of Odessa. Grandchildren AJ, Zoe, Jorge and Jon Fuentez. Marco, Aiden, and Alexia Muniz. Great Grandson Azriel Fuentez, all of Odessa. Brother Ascencion “Chon” Fuentez Contreras of Odessa. Sister Lupe Gonzalez and husband Mario of Ft. Worth. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be AJ Fuentez, Aiden Muniz, Eric Fuentez, Larry Fuentez, Abel Salazar and Raul Delgado. 

The family of Abram wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Medical Center Hospital ICU nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, aides and staff and also the staff of Star Hospice.
