On Saturday, February 20, 2021, Adalberto “Beto” Hinojos, loving husband and father of three daughters, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 89.
Visitation for Beto will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM and on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM with a rosary scheduled for 7:00 PM. Mass will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with interment to
follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Beto was born November 29, 1931, in La Mula, Chihuahua, Mexico to Guillermo and Agapita Hinojos. On May 23, 1965, he married the love of
his life, Dolores Sotelo. They raised three daughters, Romana, Esperanza and Patricia.
As a very young man, he crossed over from Mexico seeking the American dream. He worked hard as a Laborer, Construction and retired from
Trucking.
Beto was known for his great sense of humor and wittiness. He was always in great spirits by singing and whistling throughout the day.
When he wasn’t at work or spending time with his family he spent his time catching up on his ‘honey-do’s’, woodworking and fixing all
the things his daughters would break. He enjoyed solving Sudoku, Word searches, puzzles and reading.
Beto is survived by his wife, Dolores ‘Lola’ Hinojos, three daughters, Romana Adame (Jack Ansley), Esperanza & Isaac Gomez and Patricia Hinojos
(Oscar Ornelas); 3 grandchildren, Alfonso Adame, Lolly (Hinojos) & Elliot Gleason, Alex Adame; 1-great granddaughter, Penelope Hope Gleason;
siblings Maria Sanchez and Alfonso Hinojos and numerous nephews and nieces.
Beto is preceded in death by his parents Guillermo and Agapita Hinojos; three siblings Aurora H. Coronel, Arturo Hinojos and Amador Hinojos.
