Agueda Olivas Nieto

Agueda “Nona” Nieto, 75, of Ojinaga, CHIH., MX, passed away on February 14, 2025 in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be held Wednesday February 19, 2025 from 10:00pm - 9:00pm at Martinez Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home. 

 Agueda Nieto was born in Ojinaga, CHIH. to Jose Olivas and Petra Contreras on January 21, 1950. She married Daniel Nieto on October 26, 1973. She was a dedicated housewife. The strongest woman we knew. The one who taught us everything. The one who not only loved her daughters, but all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. She had a heart of gold and was always there to help and love everyone else.

 Agueda Nieto is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Jocelyn Nieto, grandchildren, Lylyanna Nieto, Angel Pando, and Baby Boy Gabaldon, her brothers, Jesus Jose Olivas, Ruben Olivas, Oswaldo Olivas. 

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Nieto, daughters, Elianeth Nieto (Jaime Martinez), Karime Gabaldon (Alonso Gabaldon), Eveline Nieto (Angel Esparza), Daniela Acosta (Othoniel Acosta), son, Luis Ramirez, sisters, Luz Olga Padilla, Alfa Garcia, Blanca Olivas, grandchildren, Clarissa Sanchez, Alonso Gabaldon, Damian Acosta, Orlando Gabaldon, Darianna Pando, Gyselle Acosta, Devanni Pando, Josdan Acosta, Addamari Esparza, Zayne Ramirez, Zayla Ramirez and great grandchildren, Mason Porras and Jairo Castillo. 

Pallbearers will be Jaime, Alonso, Angel, Othoniel, Luis, Damian, Alonso Jr., and Orlando. 

The family of Agueda wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Continue Care at MCH as well as Lynette Jackson, and thank you for prayers and support from friends and family.
