Albert Carrasco, Jr., age 38 of Odessa, TX passed away Monday, August 17, 2020.
Growing up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and graduating from Lake Dallas High School in 2001 Albert excelled in athletics as a varsity football letter winner. He had a passion for the oil industry and was most recently employed as an Operations Manager with Crude Energy Services in Odessa.
Albert was a light and inspiration to all the lives he touched and embraced time spent laughing, listening to music and sharing food and fun with the people he loved. Above all else Albert cherished family and friends through his kind advice and an ever-present gentle ear.
Albert is survived by his mother Mary Ysela Paz, father Albert Carrasco Sr., brother Zackariah Carrasco of Lake Dallas Texas, sister Stephanie and her husband Joaquin, nephews, Noah and Nixon and Niece Harlow Aguirre all of Midland and sisters Gloria and Maxine Carrasco of Odessa. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Dominga Paz of Odessa, TX and is survived by his loving aunts and uncles; Saul and wife Elsa Paz of Midland, Alma and husband Steve DeWitt of Port Aransas, Norma and Jeff Ansell of Coppell, Texas. Also from Odessa - Mary and Charlie Wilson, Patricia and Joe Chavez, Rose and Rene Martinez along with Estella and Andres Carrasco from Sanger, Texas.
Other beloved survivors include his first cousins; Luis Zubiate, Jr., Saul Paz Jr., Paul Paz, Ney Paz, Sloane Ansell, Lisa Camarena, Alfred Tucker, Jessica Lyle, Dominique Ali, Amanda Villarose, Adrianna Vallario, Amy Rivera, Justin Carrasco, Jason Carrasco, Angie Follis, Nicole Petit, Anthony Ramirez, Jennifer Carrasco, Joe Chavez, Jr. and Jackie Munos plus a host of loving spouses, extended family, co-workers and friends.
Albert is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Margarito Paz, cousin, Nikolas Moralez, paternal grandparents, Edmundo & Gloria Carrasco, his uncle Eddie Carrasco and Aunt Audelia Valencia.
Visitation will be held on: Thursday, August 20th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a Rosary at 3:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with a reception to follow.
Pallbearers will be: Luis Zubiate, Jr.,Saul Paz, Jr., Paul Paz, Joe Chavez, Jr., Jacob Ortiz, Lupe Sanchez, Jason Faimaw, Steve Lujan
Arrangements have been entrusted to Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory.
