Alejandra Ornelas

Alejandra Ornelas, 85, of Balmorhea, passed away on July 1, 2022 in Odessa.

Alejandra was born Candelaria, Texas to Melque and Pomposa Ornelas on February 5, 1937. Alejandra resided in Balmorhea all of her life where she raised all of her children whom she loved dearly. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and puppy Baby were the love of her life. She had a huge loving heart and enjoyed spending time with her family just talking or going on a joy ride to the lake while listening to music. She loved spending time with her friends and play pool or dancing. Alejandra was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends and all who knew her.

Alejandra is preceded in death by her parents Melque and Pomposa,  Ornelas, son Lupe Ornelas, daughters Maria Duran and Adela Jimenez and grandsons Joseph Ornelas & Lupe Jimenez.

Alejandra is survived by; daughters, Irma Ornelas, Peggy Ornelas, Betty Pina and husband Jesus all of Odessa, Aurora Duran and husband Salvador of Iraan, Santos Acosta of Midland and Martina Allen and husband Marty of San Angelo. Sons, Joe Ornelas of Balmorhea and Raul Ornelas, Michael Ornelas and Juan Ornelas and wife Velia all of Odessa. 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Alejandra is also survived by her best friend that never left her side, the love of her life, her puppy Baby).

Pallbearers will be Jesus Pina, Salvador Duran, Louis Duran, Brandon Johnson, Byron Johnson, Blake Johnson Marty Allen and Joshua Ramirez

Visitation will be Wednesday July 6, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00, and Rosary will be 7:00pm, Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Martinez Funeral Home 1040 S. Dixie Blvd. Odessa TX. "The Family has requested anyone attending the Visitations and Mass for Alejandra, to please wear a mask"

Mass will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 on 10:00am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Balmorhea. Burial will follow at Balmorhea cemetery.
