Alicia R Marquez, 77, Corpus Christi, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Odessa, TX.

Memorial Service will be at 1:00PM Friday, January 24, 2025 at Martinez Funeral Home "West Chapel" (10137 W. University Blvd. Odessa, Texas 79764).

Alicia was born in Corpus Christi to Lino Rodriguez and Julie Molina Rodriguez on May 26, 1947. She was married to Vicente Marquez. Alicia was retired for the past 17yrs.

Alicia is preceded in death by her mom Julie Rodriguez, Lino Rodriguez, granddaughter Alijahe Varela Udave and sister Emma Jackson.

Alicia is survived by her husband Vicente Marquez, her children Frankie Varela (Wanda), Norma (Tony) Hernandez, Juanita Varela, Lupita Marquez, Erasmo Varela (Bianca), Breonika Varela Udave (Victor), Caleb Varela Udave (Sayra), and Selena Varela. Great grand kids Raylynn, Lukas and Laine Varela. Sister Mary Rodriguez and niece Lisa Rodriguez. Alicia’s love extended far beyond her immediate family. She also held a special place in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families, all of whom she cherished dearly. Alicia’s warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her, and her legacy will live on through the love and memories shared with her extended family.

Alicia was a woman with a heart of gold, always ready to share love with anyone who crossed her path. Her family meant the world to her—she cherished her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with an unmatched devotion. Alicia had a true passion for cooking, often filling her home with delicious meals, and she enjoyed the thrill of gambling, especially during her cherished times spent with her best friend, Viola.

Alicia’s kindness, warmth, and joyful spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her amazing presence.
