Amado L. Gonzales

Amado Lerma Gonzales, 77, of Odessa, TX passed away on August 18, 2023, in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be 1 pm - 9 pm, Thursday August 24, 2023 at Martinez Funeral Home - Outside Chapel. Rosary will be Thursday August 24, 2023 at 7 pm at Martinez Funeral Home - Outside Chapel. 

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on Friday August 25, 2023.

Amado Gonzales was born in Taft, TX to Maria Lerma Gonzales and Manuel Gonzales on September 13, 1945. He married the love of his life, Juanita Gonzales in 1964. He loved Elvis Presley and spending time with his family and dogs. He enjoyed classic western movies at home. Amado worked as an insulator his entire career.

Amado Gonzales is preceded in death by his daughter Hilda Dominguez and sons Eddie, Joe, Amado (Shadow) II, and Amado (Mayito) Gonzales III.

Amado Gonzales is survived by his wife Juanita Gonzales, Dina Rayos (Mickey Rayos), and Jessica Moreno (Adrian Moreno), and Jeremy Gonzales (Jennifer Gonzales). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Emilio, Kennedy, Presley, Caleb, Eddie, Eric, Jacob, Rita, David and Alex Gonzales. Along with 16 great-grandchildren, Aaron (Gia), Zack, Hilda “Tiggy”, and Miguel III Rayos, Audrick, Abram, and Angelo Moreno, Javen, Ruby, Jaselle, Eric Elijah, Riley, Brady, Eddie, Aryalli and Alexander Gonzales and two great-great-grandchildren, Ibrahym and Noel Rayos. Pallbearers will be Aaron and Zack Rayos, Caleb, Eric and Jeremy Gonzales, and Audrick Moreno. Sisters; Cayetana Sauceda, Ignacia Guerra, Cecilia Robledo, San Juana Ruiz.

The Gonzales family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Angel’s Care Hospice nurses, with a special thanks to Kurt, RN and Adrian Gonzales, Odessa Regional Emergency tech, for gently caring for our beloved Dad.
