Amarante Marichalar

Amarante Marichalar was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila to Eliseo and Josefina Marichalar on May 17th, 1952. He went to school at Ector High School. He married Mary Marichalar on November 10th, 1972 in Odessa Texas. He worked as an autobody man for All-star Collision Center for 12 years. He was involved in, softball, knights of Columbus, loved to woodwork and was involved in church activities such as Catholic Church Education, and eucharistic minister. He loved being around his grandchildren and bonding with them. As a younger gentleman he loved to go camping and play baseball with his team and travel.

Amarante Marichalar is preceded in death by parents Eliseo and Josefina Marichalar, sister Elizde Castillo, and brother Raul Marichalar.

Amarante Marichalar survived by wife Mary Marichalar, children Laura and (spouse)Armando Armendariz, Albert and (spouse)Jessica Marichalar, Joe Marichalar, and grandchildren Nohemi Gavaldon, Cassandra Franco, Joshua and CJ Marichalar, brothers: Noe Sr., Hector, Ray, Armando Marichalar. Sisters:  Bertha Perez, Araceli Olivas and Haydee Marichalar, along with numerous nieces and newphews.

Pallbearers will be Hector Marichalar, Albert Marichalar, Joe Marichalar, Armando Armendariz, Ray Marichalar, Noe Sr. Marichalar, Albert Olivas, and Eliseo Marichalar.

Memorials may be given to Martinez Funeral Home. The family of Amarante Marichalar wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of the staff at ORMC for taking care of him through his last days. Visitation begins Saturday February 22nd from 5-9pm, Sunday February 23rd from 1-9 pm and starting at 7 will begin the rosary. On Monday February 24th at 10 am mass will be held at St. Joseph.
