Andrea "Andy" Carter-Renfro

(Andy) Andrea Wyvette Carter-Renfro was born July 10, 1966, to parents Johnnie and James Carter in Odessa, TX where she resided until her death.

Andy accepted the Lord at an early age. She was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church, where she was baptized. In later years she became a member of Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. She went to public school in ECISD and graduated from Permian High School in 1984. She modeled for several years for different organizations, including Mary’s Fashions and Julian Gold. She loved working for Southwest Airlines and was a faithful employee for 30 years.

Andy was one of the most loving and compassionate people you would ever meet. She was an excellent mother who loved her daughter more than life itself. She was an absolute joy to be around, full of life and laughter. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for anyone. She was the most loyal and devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Andy departed this life on Saturday, April 9, 2022, and is preceded in death by her father James Carter, sisters Brenda Moore and Cynthia Patterson and brother Ronnie Carter.

She leaves to mourn her husband Jimmy Renfro of Kansas City, MS; daughter Brree Carter and soon-to-be grandson of Odessa, TX; stepdaughters Theleia Monet Renfro of Kansas City, MS  and Peyge Wolfe of San Antonio, TX; mother Johnnie Carter of Odessa, TX; brother Darin Carter (Kim) of  Manassas, VA;  sisters Carmen (Hopie) Yonke of Odessa, TX, Carlen Carter Reeves of Odessa, TX and Carmen Bryant of Dallas, TX; two special sisters Sherly Taylor of Odessa, TX and  Doris Fae Smith (Paul) of Amarillo, TX; a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of many many friends and the Renfro family.
