Angelica Contreras

Angelica Contreras, 68, of Odessa, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at Hospice House. She was born August 3, 1944 in Mexico to Luis and Petra Serrano Contreras.

Angelica spent the greater part of her life in Ojinaga and Presidio, where she was loved and respected by all. She loved her community and received countless blessings. Serving others selflessly was her way of life. More than her community, she loved her children. She was both mom and dad and selflessly sacrificed to provide a good life for them.

She is survived by her son, Fernando Contreras and wife Stephanie of Haltom City daughter, Imelda Contreras of Odessa and 3 grandchildren, Gabriel Fernando Contreras, Amelia Ann Contreras and Elias Luis Contreras, all of Haltom City.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 5 9 PM and Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 9 AM 9 PM at MartinezSmith Funeral Chapels. The Rosary will be recited at 7 PM both evenings. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 3, 2013 at 2 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by interment at the Peaceful Gardens section of the Ector County Cemetery.
