Angelita Nunez

On Saturday September 12, 2020, Angelita Nunez, loving sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend has passed away at 77.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 15, 2020 from 9:00 am -4:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Home. Mask are required during the visitation; 25 people are allowed at a time inside the chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 2:00 PM

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday September 16th at Martinez Funeral Home with Father Frank Chavez of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, officiating. Mask are required and Mass is limited to 30 people during the service.

Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery.   Arrangements are made by Martinez Funeral Home.

Angelita was born in Ojinaga, Chih., Mex to Francisco and Cruz Nunez on October 1, 1942. Angelita was a passionate woman loved by everyone that had the pleasure to meet her and was always ready to lend a helping hand. She raised her seven children on her own and lived life to the fullest. She was a devoted Catholic and an avid church member, she enjoyed volunteering for various church functions. One of her favorite hobbies was sewing and making quilts for her grandchildren.

Angelita is preceded in death by her parents, brother: Reynaldo, sisters: Juanita, Paula, Santos, and Amanda, and Grandson: Vicente Nunez.

Angelita is survived by her children: Manuel, Martin (Isabel +), Socorro (Marta), Miguel (Geneva), Francisco (Mayela), Rigoberto, Flor (Jesse). Brothers: Victoriano (Zulema), Porfirio (Margarita), and Maurillio (Adela). Sisters: Rosaura (Emilio), Reyes, Uvelia (Juan), Leticia, and Virginia Nunez. 19 Grandchildren and 44 great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Oscar, Miguel Jr, Jose, Omar, Javier, and Nestor Nunez.
