Anita Lujan

Anita Chacon Lujan was born in Marfa, TX on June 28, 1936.

On the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 10, 2018, Anita died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was 82 years of age. She was married to her loving husband of 66 years, Ernesto "Sonny" A. Lujan, Sr. and had seven children: Yolanda L. Hernandez (Raul Rodriguez); Elsa (Juan) Dominguez of Belton, TX; +Elva Lujan; Emily "Millie" (+Guillermo Jr.) Salinas; +Ernesto Lujan, Jr.; Richard Lujan; Edward Lujan.

They also raised a grandson who they considered as their son, too, Jerimie Hernandez. Anita will also be forever remembered by her 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grand children, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be as follows:
Wednesday, July 11, at 7:00 p.m. - Rosary will be recited at Martinez Funeral Chapel
Thursday, July 12, at 7:00 p.m. - Liturgy of the Vigil at St. Anthony's Catholic Church presided by Fr. Joseph Uecker.
Friday, July 13, at 11:00 a.m. - Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann's Catholic Church of Midland (1906 W. Texas Ave) presided by Msgr. Larry Droll.
Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
The family of Anita is forever thankful to all the medical and nursing staff who took loving care of her. A special thank you to Hospice of Midland.

Memorial donations in memory of Anita may be made to Hospice of Midland or St. Ann's Church (memo: Music Department).
