Antonio Madero Jr

July 24, 1947 — January 28, 2021

Antonio “Tony” Madero Jr. departed our world on Friday, January 28, 2021.  He was born in Odessa, Texas on July 24, 1947 to Erminia and Antonio Madero Sr.   Tony attended and graduated from Ector High School in 1966.  He was inducted in November of 67 and served in the US Army.  He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation MDL, Vietnam Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.  He was Honorable discharged in July of 1969.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Erminia, his younger sister, Mary “Cuca” Madrid, his younger brother, Armando “Mando” Madero, nephew Joe Israel Acosta,  niece Jennifer Ramirez Rios,  great nephew, Emmanuel Madero Urias and many other beloved immediate family members.

Tony is survived by his 3 sons, John Anthony Madero (Flor) San Angelo Tx.,   Stephen Madero, Providence, RI and Phillip Madero, San Antonio Tx.   He leaves behind 3 brothers, Jesse Madero, Alonzo Madero (Roxanne) and Joe “Coonie” Madero.  6 sisters, Emma Acosta (Jose), Ramona Madero Leon, Sylvia Harris (Jeff), Edia Madero, Beatriz Madero and Maggie Gomez (George).  Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Tony was a big Dallas Cowboy fan.  He was the life of our party and we will greatly miss him.

We want to take the time to thank the staff at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez VA State Home for taking such wonderful care of our brother.  Service to be held at a later date.
