Arturo Rico

Arturo P. Rico "Popo", 85 of Odessa Texas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, on Monday June 4, 2018.

Arturo was born in Presidio Texas to Isabel and Refugio Rico on August 24, 1932. He attended school in Grandfalls Texas. He married the love of his life, Amelia Navarrete on June 23, 1957 in Odessa Texas. Arturo worked and retired from the US Post Office and the Odessa American. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed gardening, playing golf and wood working. He was a true OHS Bronco and Dallas Cowboys fan. He was our "Superhero". There was nothing he couldn't do.

He is preceded in Death by his parents: Isabel and Refugio Rico, brothers; Alfonso Rico, Mariano Rico, sisters: Elfida Torres, Hortencia Rico, Ofelia Hinojos and Romelia Acosta.
Arturo "Popo" is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Amelia N. Rico, Children: Sylvia and Rudy Hernandez, Anna and Ernie Munoz, Zulema and Baldemar Aguilar, Gracie and Javier Hernandez, Cecilia Sanchez, Maggie and Danny Rodriguez, Margie Molina and David Molina, Sisters Socorro Cordova and Aurora Calderon. 30 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
