Ascension Garcia

Ascension P. Garcia, 92, passed away on December 7, 2013 in Odessa Texas.

She was born October 11, 1921 in Presidio, Texas to Paula Rico and Tiburcio Palma. She married Isabel C. Garcia in Grandfalls, Texas in 1943.

A rosary will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 10am with Father Hatch officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery.

Ascension is survived by her daughters, Delfa G. Duran, Delma G. Martinez and spouse Jose Castillo, Christina I. Garcia and spouse Travis Pankey, Zulema G. Carrillo and spouse Raymond Carrillo Sr., Delia G. Gomez and spouse Mario F. Gomez, Odelia G. Joven and spouse Fernando G. Joven, Odilia G. Galindo, sons, Armando P. Garcia Sr. and spouse Rosie H. Nunez, Arturo P. Garcia and spouse Delma M. Garcia. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 71 greatgrandchildren and 4 greatgreatgrandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Isabel C. Garcia, her parents, son, Jesus Manuel Garcia, daughter, Maria Guadalupe Garcia, grandson, Ruben T. Martinez Jr., granddaughter, Peggy Ann Duran, greatgrandson Ursulo Albert Llanez Jr. and soninlaw, Ismael L. Duran.

Services are under the direction of Martinez Funeral Home.
