Auther Thursby

Auther Lee Thursby, 65 years of age, of Odessa, passed away on May 7, 2017 in Odessa, Texas.
Visitation will be held 11am to 9pm with a Wake at 7pm on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10am Friday, May 12, 2017 at First United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Terry Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery in Odessa II Garden. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
Auther was born on September 12, 1951 in Odessa, Texas to Robert Lee Thursby and Gracie Mae Webber Harrell. He graduated from Ector High School and played football, player "83." His brother Tommy Lee Green taught him to drive trucks and later became a truck driver.
Auther is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Gracie Thursby, brother Tommy Lee Green and niece Laura Harrell.
Left to cherish his memory is his dear sister and best friend, Sharon Thursby-Ingram and husband Alfred Ingram, brothers Robert Earl Thursby and Charles Thursby, niece Zabreya Harrell, Shannon Harrell, Marylin Foster, nephews, Sammy Lewis, Ray Lewis, Charles Lewis, Gary Lewis, Jimmy Lewis and a hostess of cousins and friends.
