Catalina Mesa

Catalina Mesa of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Odessa, Texas.

A rosary will be held at 7pm, Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be at 1pm, Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery.

Catalina was born April 6, 1924, in Dallas, Texas to Juan and Maria Sanchez. She married Pedro F. Mesa on March 10, 1947 in Ft. Stockton, TX.

She is survived by her sons, Pedro S. Mesa Jr. and his wife Zulema, David S. Mesa, Ruben S. Mesa and his wife Nancy and Raul S. Mesa, her brothers, Manuel Sanchez of Odessa and Jesus Sanchez of San Antonio, TX, her sisters, Juanita Moreno of san Antonio, TX, Guadalupe Sanchez of Ft. Stockton, TX, Isabel Gomez of Ft. Stockton, TX, and Olivia Jasso of Ft. Stockton, TX., nine grandchildren, Tisha Mesa, Kasey Mesa, Jon Mesa, Debbie Montoya, Ruben Mesa, Jr., Stephanie Mesa, Michael Mesa, Sheryl Mesa and Henry Mesa Jr., and eleven greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers will be, Jon Mesa, Ruben Mesa Jr., Benny Montoya, Benny Montoya Jr., David Gomez and Joseph Nunez.
