Chidi Maduekwe

Chidi Ikem Maduekwe, 40, of Odessa, Texas passed away on August 16, 2021 in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at Martinez Funeral Home and from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Living Vision Ministries.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Living Vision Ministries with Pastor James Porter Officiating.  Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Chidi Ikem Maduekwe was born in Odessa, Texas to Elizabeth J. Choyce and Herbert Maduekwe on September 2, 1980.  He graduated from Odessa High School and then attended Odessa College where he received his Graphic Associates Degree.  He was a sweet oriented, hard working and kind man.  He married Twilana Hudson Maduekwe on March 2, 2011.  He worked as a service tech for Western Falcon for 17 years.  Chidi was involved in music, art, landscaping, poetry and most importantly spending time doing arts and crafts with his daughters.

Chidi Ikem Maduekwe is preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth J. Choyce  (July 3, 1959 – February 1, 2005); Grandmother Arko Lee Triggs (December 5, 1935 – March 30, 2010) ; and Grandfather Horace Triggs (April 2, 1924 – March 14, 1999).

Chidi is survived by his loving wife Twilana Hudson Maduekwe; daughters Caliyonna Elizath Rayon Maduekwe and Lakasia Maulyia Maduekwe; father Herbert Maduekwe; sisters Tenille Johnson-Reed (Tracy) of Odessa and Crystal Carter (Kevin) of Odessa; brothers Tyrrence Hudson, Tyler Hudson and Michael Fay of Odessa; mother-in-law Lashanda Johnson; Aunts Crhistine and LeeAnn Johnson, Angie Gooden of Odessa and Uncles James Edward, Conner Burnett Johnson, Rayfield Johnson and Joe Davis Johnson
