Christopher Comer

October 30, 1971 — August 29, 2018

Christopher Terrell Comer was born in Odessa, Texas on October 30, 1971 to Bessie Comer and Oscar Brady III. Chris was the second of the three Comer boys. After a long friendship, Chris married Josie Alvarado July 8, 2017.

Chris graduated from Odessa's Permian High School in 1990 and afterwards attended Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas. Chris was a member of the 1988 "Friday Night Lights" team and the 1989 Permian football state and mythical national team. He was chosen as the offensive MVP of the 1989 state football game. He also was a member of the Panther track team. Chris had an opportunity to try out for the Houston Texans but gave up his dream of playing professionally when his first wife was diagnosed with cancer. Chris worked for Allied Barton Security Services as Site Supervisor until he became disabled in 2013. He was a member of the Board of Private Investigative Securities of Texas.

As a child, Chris was an avid reader of comic books. Even as an adult, he enjoyed watching super hero movies and TV shows. He was a music lover and enjoyed watching sports including football, track and basketball. He also took pleasure in experimenting with recipes in the kitchen.

Chris was a dedicated and loving husband and father. He cherished every moment that he spent with his wife and children. Honesty, an easy-going and kind nature best describes Chris. He wasn't one to complain or pity himself when he encountered life's challenges and disappointments. He was excited about his two Infiniti project cars. He also enjoyed any opportunity to reconnect with his Permian football teammates.

Chris is preceded in death by his son Christopher Terrell Comer Jr., brother Michael Comer; maternal grandmother Odessa Comer, maternal grandfather Fred "Buddy" Williams; paternal grandmother Reaule Brady, maternal grandfather Oscar Earl Brady Jr. and aunt Linda Hill.
