On Monday, April 7, 2013, Cody Robinett was taken from us suddenly and tragically when he was involved in an early morning automobile accident in southeast New Mexico. Cody, 28, was the passenger in a vehicle while he and a coworker were on their way home, in Odessa, from a completed shift when the accident happened.
Cody grew up in Odessa and loved spending time with his large, extended family while growing up. Cody grew up to be a very hard working, family devoted man under the guidance of his mother Lena Garcia and step father Gilbert Garcia. One of Codys life passions was the Dallas Cowboys and he loved watching games with a large group of family and friends. Last year Cody devoted his life to two young children when he married their beautiful mother Amber. Cody and Amber were also blessed when they added to their family having a set of twin girls. Of all things Cody did and loved there was no mistaking that he lived to be the best father and husband he possibly could. This was easily noticed by all who were blessed to know him.
Cody is survived by his mother Lena Garcia, wife Amber Rodriguez Robinett, and four children Ameya 6, Trey 3, and twin girls Lesa and Lena 15 months. He also was a great little brother to Josh Robinett and a devoted big brother to Joe Robinett. Cody also leaves a number of loving uncles, aunts, and cousins who all considered him more of a brother.
Services are scheduled at Martinez Funeral Home for Saturday April 12, 2014 at 10am with Major Michael Barnhouse Officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery. Donations for the family can be made at Prosperity Bank under Crystal Reyes Robinett Benefit Account.
