Delores was born in Taylor, TX to Paul H. Diaz and Socorro Muro on December 3, 1961.
She went to school at Odessa High. She also graduated from OHS in 1981.
Delores was an amazing mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. If you knew my mom you knew that she would help any and everyone even when she didn’t have much to give. She loved her family so much especially her kids, grandkids, and great grandchild.
She was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and was so passionate when she would watch the games. Every game she would dress up in her jersey, paint her stars on her face and cheer them on even though more than once they would disappoint her, but, she never gave up on them.
She was also an amazing cook. Made everything by hand and it never disappointed. She loved watching movies and the holiday specials when they came out on tv. Delores was a crafty person. She was always making things and it always came out amazing.
She loved barbecuing, spending time with family, and listening to music. This world lost a beautiful soul. She will be deeply missed.
Delores is preceded in death by her father Paul H. Diaz, her mother Socorro Muro Diaz, her brother Angel Diaz, and her grandkids Juanito and Cruzito Lopez.
Delores is survived by her children Joey Miguel Diaz and wife Laura, her daughter Marie Lopez and husband Pat. Granddaughter, Misty Rose Diaz and husband Tyrone and her grandsons Juan, Bobby, and Dominick Lopez. Great grandson Tyrone Andrew Lujan III.
Her brothers Lorenzo Diaz and wife Carla, Martin Diaz and wife Lorena, and Danny Diaz and wife Lori.
Her sisters Rosemary DeLaRosa, Margie Stright and husband Ron, Maryann Lopez, and Betsy Diaz. Also two aunts and two uncles. Numerous nieces and nephews, and lots of friends who loved her very much.
The family of Delores wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Dr’s and nursing staff at MCH for giving our mom one last fight and letting her decide when it was time to go.
