Demetrio Rivera Valenzuela was born in Lujan Durango Mexico to Guadalupe Rivera and Dolores Valenzuela on December 22, 1951.

He worked as a laborer for Aranda Pools until his retirement. He was a very hard and dedicated worker who loved his job. He loved his family very much but most of all his grandchildren. He also enjoyed listening to music and was a great singer.

Demetrio Rivera Valenzuela is preceded in death by his both his parents Dolores Valenzuela and Guadalupe Rivera and sister Socorro Zapata.

Demetrio Rivera Valenzuela is survived by daughters; Claudia Rivera and Ciria Yanez and husband Juan Santiago. Brother; Jose Guadalupe Rivera. Sisters; Beatriz Zapata, Armandina Rivera, María Luisa Rivera, Basilisa Rivera. Grandchildren; Johnny Santiago, Ivan Santiago, Brieanna Santiago, Anahí Padilla and Kianna Padilla. Great grandchildren; Joel Santiago, Jeremiah Santiago, Celeste and E’voni Santiago.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren Jonny Santiago & Ivan Santiago, son-in-laws Juan Santiago & Juan Padilla, his twin brother Guadalupe Rivera and his long time friend Hector Pińa

Santiago & Rivera family wish to extend our sincere thanks to Julio Lopez for assisting with Rosery, Alvesa Davila for leading rosery, Filiberto & Lupita Gonzales for their generosity & assisting with the funeral arrangements, Diana Gomez for singing at the church service. To Father Fernando Bonilla & Holly Redeemer Catholic Church for their services.
