Devon Renteria, 29, from Odessa Texas went on his journey to be with the Lord Wednesday morning January 19, 2022 in Odessa Texas

Devon was born in Odessa, TX to Michelle Martinez and Louis Renteria on June 21, 1992. He lived 29 beautiful years on this earth and impacted so many people with his outgoing and witty attitude. He always put a smile on everyone’s face, he loved to be goofy and crack jokes on his loved ones. Devon attended Permian High School and graduated in 2010. Devon loved sports from the time he could walk, he was an all around sportsman. As a child he played tee ball, soccer, baseball, basketball and played football for Permian High School. He went to Barber school in Lubbock and was a great barber. Shortly after he became a dad to 2 wonderful children Carter and Julianna. Devon loved life and was such a kind soul, through his passion for cutting hair he touched the souls of many.  He loved his family, music, being a barber and making everyone laugh. Devon is preceded in death by his grandfather Raymundo Zamora. Devon is survived by Carter Renteria (son), Julianna Renteria (daughter), Michelle Recio (mother), Reynaldo Recio (stepfather), Louis Renteria (father), Julian Recio (brother), Naliya Recio (sister), Sarah Renteria (sister), Natalie Renteria (sister), Aris Renteria (sister) his grandmothers, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Julian Recio, Fabian Zorrilla, Nelson Aristy, Sheldon Contreras, Felipe Zamora Jr., Victor Andres Sandoval, Kevin Martinez, Nathaniel Venegas

We love you Devon and you will live forever in our hearts.

Public viewing will be at Martinez Funeral Home on Monday, January 24, 2022 1:00 PM -9:00 PM and Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Tuesday, January 25, 2022 10:00 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church.
