Donnie Pierce

Donnie Lee Pierce, 83 of Odessa, went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2015 in Big Spring, Texas.
Visitation will be held 12pm - 9pm on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am Monday, April 27, 2015 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Reverend Joe L. Terry Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery in Rose Hill Garden.
Donnie Lee Pierce was born May 7, 1931 in Paris, Texas to the proud parents of Henry and Viola Pierce.
Don married the love of his life, Lila Woods, on December 23, 1951 and to this union six kids were born. Tommy, Nelda, Donald, Kathryn, Patricia and Cheryl.
He later joined the Army in 1952 and proudly served in the Korean War. He was a life member of the VFW-6717.
Don was a faithful member of Greater St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a man of many talents and friend to everyone he met. He loved football and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. Don also loved to play dominos with all his friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, two children, all of his siblings except for his twin sister, Jewel Hearne. He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Kathryn Jackson of Lewisville, TX, Patricia Johnson (Larry) of Midland, TX, and Cheryl Johnson of Kermit, TX, one son Donald 'Bo' Pierce of Odessa, TX, 14 grandkids and 29 great grandkids, a host of cousins and friends and Best Friends: Frank Templeton and Larry Harmon.
