Dora Sanchez

October 22, 1933 — December 18, 2017

Dora Sanchez, 84 yrs old, was born to Cruzita and Dario Rodriguez, October 12, 1933 in Presidio, TX and died December 18, 2017 in Houston, TX.
God blessed us with a beautiful mother. She was a mother with many dreams of her own, but unselfishly, she gave them up for all her kids. She made sure we got our education; made sure we knew right from wrong; to be the best person we could be; loved us for our accomplishments; but seemed to love us more through our falls. Through tough times she would encourage us to be strong, toughen up, get it right and pray. Her love and faith for God was undeniable. Whatever heartache or suffering our mother went through, her love and faith never faltered. Just like the bible story of Job. She was a very strong woman with a lot of love. Our Lord in heaven was ready for her and called her home. May God embrace our mother in His arms for there is no doubt He knows how much she loves Him. We can imagine seeing our Mom's beautiful smiling face when she meets our Lord and Savior. And another huge smile when she is reunited with her viejito (old man), our Dad. In turn, our Dad's smiling and yelling with joy, "Vieja, bailamos (old lady, shall we dance)?!?!" As mother would smile and reply, "Si, bailamos (yes, let's dance)!". Now they both can rest in peace and dance together in heaven.
Mommy, we pray and hope you know how much we all love and miss you with all our hearts. Thank you for giving us life, your unconditional love and words of wisdom. May you rest in heavenly peace!
