It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eduardo G. Sosa who passed away peacefully at Medical Center hospital in Odessa, TX surrounded by his adored family by his side.  Eduardo was a very caring person  with a big heart; it brough him much joy to give special gifts to anyone he knew and he loved being around his lil’ Princess and sons as well as his grandkids and family.  Eduardo was a beautiful person who spread joy, laughter and happiness wherever he went.  His memory is our keepsake and that can never die.  God has you in his care now and we will have you in our hearts until we meet again in heaven. 

Eduardo was a lifelong Odessian who graduated from Ector High School. Eduardo was a well respected hospitality manager and made many life long friends who nicknamed him “Fast Eddie”. 

Eduardo never had a bad thing to say about anyone as he always seemed to see the good in people.  His departure has left a void in our hearts but we shall fill that void with millions of memories.   Eduardo lived well, laughed hard and always had a joke or a funny story to tell.

Eduardo will be missed by everyone; family and friends; co-workers and neighbors and we know as the days turn into months and into years that his memory will continue to enliven the conversations and warm our hearts and homes. 

Eduardo is survived by his wife, Gina Sosa, his children, Eddie Jr, Gidgette, Brian, Derrick, Chirstopher, Philip and Zack.  Eduardo also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as many Cousins.    

Eduardo also leaves behind his, Sister and Brother-in-Law, Rebecca and Ben Hernandez of Odessa, Diana Quesada of Odessa, JoAnn Alvarez of Oregon and a brother, Lloyd Calderon of Virginia.  Eduardo is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews who adored their “Tio Eddie”. 

Eduardo is predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Angelita Sosa, son, Angel, his brother, Daniel Sosa, his twin sister Hilda Guitierrez and granddaughter, Jazman Huerta.

Services will be held at Martinez Funeral Home

10/9/2023:  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by the rosary

10/10/2023:  Chapel Services at 10:00 a.m.
