Elida Carrasco

Elida Guadalupe Herrera Carrasco, 49, of Odessa, passed away May 4, 2017 in Odessa.

Visitation will be held today Tuesday May 9, 2017 from 9am to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home.

Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery Rosehill Garden. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Elida was born in King City, California to Manuel Gonzalez Carrasco and Sandy Herrera Valadez on November 12, 1967. She went to school in El Paso.

Elida is preceded in death by her father, her sister Elia Carrasco, her nephew David Carrasco and her common law husband of 28 years, Ruben Padron.

Elida is survived by her sons: Raymond Michael Padron, Ruben Manuel Padron (Katie), Ryan David Padron (Nicole) and Mark Anthony Padron of Odessa, and her only daughter, Crystal Maxine Padron. Her sisters: Elsa Garcia ( Ralph) of Odessa and Elva Ruiz (Ruben) of Fort Worth. Her mother Sandy H. Valadez (Alfonso) of Odessa. Numerous nieces and nephews and 8 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Mark Padron, Joanna Bravo, Rose Olivas, Jane Olivas, Christy Olivas, Ruben Padron, Elsa Garcia and Raymond Padron.

The family of Elida Carrasco wish to extend our sincere thanks to Medical Center CCU staff who cared and attended for her in her last moments.
