Elma Starling age 64, from Abilene, Texas passed away on March 28, 2025, in Odessa, Texas.

Celebration of life will be held from 2 PM to 9 PM on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Sherwood Park in Odessa, Texas.

Elma Starling was born in Abilene, Texas to Bennie Jewel Christian Starling and Lester Starling on January 22, 1961. He graduated from Ector High School and joined the United States Navy in 1981, served as a boatswain mate. Elma married Carla Starting on September 8, 1982 and welcomed their first child a few days later.

Elma's favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys, whether they won or lost. He loved the oldies but goodies music and one of his favorite songs was "She use to be my girl" by the O'Jays. He loved his family and when he was feeling good, he had dance in his feet, a song in his heart, and smile on his face.

Elma is preceded in death by his mother Bennie Jewel, Father Lester Starling, Sister Lester Marie, Nephew Lester Starling, and Granddaughter Jasmine Marie Starling.

Elma is survived by his daughter Shereika Starling (Terry McBride) 2 sons Elmo D Starling (Kimerly Starling) and Christopher L. Starling (Christina Arndt) 2 sisters Mary L. Starling and Linda B. Jones, Brother Lester Starling Jr. 12 Grandchildren; Elmo D. Starling Jr., Jermaine Starling, A'myrikal Starling, Christopher Starling Jr, Znieyha Starling, J'Varion Starling, Aniaha Starling, Kylie Starling, Heidi Starling, Deajenea Lang and Rhekiya Calloway. 6 Great Grandchildren Luna Starling, Khalil Starling, Mari Starling, Amari Starling and Treshon Posey, Michael Arndt. 12 step grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends and best friend Ike Sanford (Opie).
