Elvessie Thomas

Elvessie “Ray” Thomas aka “Vicky” 96 of Odessa, TX passed away on November 23, 2024 in Odessa, TX 

Memorial services will be held at 2:30PM on Friday December 6, 2024 at Martinez Funeral Home. 

Elvessie was born in Marlin, TX to Dennis Hayes and Mary Modkins on July 6, 1928. She attended Wallace High School in Colorado City, TX. She married Willie Thomas in 1945 in Marlin, TX. She worked as a laundry presser for many years. 

Elvessie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, four of her children, and three granddaughters.

Elvessie is survived by six children, Glen Thomas, Orsbee Thomas, John Thomas, Clint Thomas, Charles Thomas, and Cynthia Bonner, 13 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
