Emilio Galindo Huertas, 65 of Ft. Stockton passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 in Odessa, TX.
Visitation will be held 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Tuesday, October 15, 2019 and Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home.
Mass will be Celebrated for Emilio at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Odessa Texas.
Burial will follow at 2:00 pm in Fort Stockton at the Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery
Emilio was born in Dexter, New Mexico to Ramon Huertas and Angelita Mata Galindo on January 26, 1954. He had two very special women in his lifetime, Alicia Perales whom he had 3 children with. Later, he met Della Rodriguez and was a father figure to her 4 children. He worked as a roustabout for many years and worked with his brother-in-law Pilo Perales in carpentry.
Emilio is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Angelita Huertas, his sister Martha Huertas, and his brother Ramon Huertas Jr.
Emilio is survived by his wife Alicia and his second wife Della; his sons, Emilio “Chuna” Perales and his wife Brandy, Zachery Huertas; and his daughter Sierra Huertas and husband Michael Rodriguez; stepchildren Felix, Raul, Chris, and Arcie, his brother Alfredo Huertas and wife Linda from Odessa; his sisters Valentina Mata and husband Danny from Andrews, Sylvia Alaniz and husband Bobby from Andrews, Yolanda Garcia from Odessa, Felicita Duenas from Odessa, Susana Galindo from Odessa, Ida Acosta and husband Chitay from Irving, Gloria Milan from Andrews, and Nora Madrid and husband Roberto from Odessa; grandchildren Jadyn and Bradyn Huertas, Michael Huertas, Xavier and Ian Perales, Jordan, Jayde and Jacelynn Rodriguez.
Pallbearers will be Pilo Perales, Jesse Alvarez, Chris Salazar, Raul Pacheco, Clay Soto, Gilbert Huertas, Marc Huerats and Joey Huertas.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jadyn Huertas and Bradyn Huertas.
The family of Emilio Huertas wishes to extend our thanks to Dr. Auden Velasquez and staff at the Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton who worked so diligently on Emilio, and to the ICU staff at MCH in Odessa. It was truly a blessing to have such dedicated hospital staff by his side. We especially want to Michael Buentello and the Martinez Funeral Home for their kindness and attentive care while make arrangements.
