Emilio N. Luera, 72, of Odessa, surrounded by family went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 in Odessa, Texas.
He was born in Pecos, Texas on August 10, 1947 to Efren and Manuela N. Luera. He attended school in Texas and California and worked at various jobs, presently as a stock clerk at Walmart (eastside) for 10 years, where he was loved by all who knew him. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to cook special dishes in his spare time. He loved all kinds of music and was an excellent dancer.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Esperanza Franco, uncle Manuel Navarrette, uncle Manuel Molina Luera, brothers; Jose Luis Luera and Jerome N. Luera.
Emilio is survived by Parents, Efren M. Luera and Manuel N. Luera, his three beloved children from first marriage, Roy (Grace) Luera of Odessa, Emilio Luera Jr., Nikkie Luera of California. His second marriage wife Diane Smith in 2012 to present. Emilio was a good father to all his children as well; Candy, Rudy, Israel, Angie all of Odessa and Midland. He had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved him dearly. Sisters; Sylvia (Richard) Villanueve of Riverside California, Anna (Ricardo) Hignojos of Odessa. Brothers; Gilbert (Teresa) Luera of Midland, Roy (Linda) Luera, Efren Luera Jr. of Odessa.
First of all, thank you to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for dying on the cross for us. Thanks to all family and friends for your outpouring of love and support.
