On Thursday, December 14, 2017 , Surrounded by his loving family, Enrique Pando Acosta ,
91, of Odessa, passed away at home. He was born on November 13,1926 , in El Mulato,
Chihuahua, Mexico, to Marcos Acosta and Zulema Pando Acosta . He united in marriage to
Victoria Lujan Acosta, June 28, 1949, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a Christian
Catholic and worked in construction instrumentation for Petrol and Chemical Refineries where
he retired.
He is preceded in death by parents, Marcos Acosta and Zulema Pando Acosta . Brothers
Eliaser Acosta, Eulegio Acosta, Edmundo Acosta, Elisardo Acosta all of Andrews, Texas;
sisters Ofelia Bustamante, Saraha Juarez both of Andrews, Texas. He is survived by; sons,
Carlos Acosta of Corpus Christi, Texas, Marcos Acosta and wife, Yesenia of Corpus Christi,
Texas, Armando Acosta of Odessa, Alex Acosta and wife, Stacy of Odessa; daughters,
Victoria Garcia and husband, John Roland of Corpus Christi, Texas, Elizabeth Acosta and
Armin Aguilar of Odessa; sisters, Rosa Elma Vasquez of Andrews, Texas, Consuelo Lujan
of Odessa, Lydia Molinar of Odessa, Texas: brother, Emilio Acosta of Odessa, Texas-;20
grandchildren;33 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and lots of friends.
We the Acosta Family would like to take this time and express our utmost sincere gratitude
to Compass Hospice and all there staff for the loving care and attention given to Enrique
Pando Acosta. We would also like to thank each and everyone of you for all your prayers,
floral, food offerings and especially your presence with us during this most difficult time.
May God bless you all abundantly.
Pallbearers will be: his grandsons, Rodney Acosta, John Victor Garcia, Nathan Garza, Alex
Acosta Jr., Carlos Acosta Jr., Jordan Solis, Michael Acosta and Ryan Acosta.
Visitation will be at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
A rosary will be recited at Monday, December 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m at Martinez Funeral Home.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.Tuesday, December 19, 2017 , at St. Joseph's Catholic
Church with Reverend Chavez officiating. Interment to follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Services
by Martinez Funeral Home.
