Enrique Mandias Rubio

Enrique Mendias Rubio, 84, of Odessa Tx. passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born March 23, 1937 in Presidio, Texas. He married Corina Rubio on September 16,1956 and they were married for 57 years. Enrique worked in construction and built his family’s home where many memories were made. You would always find him sitting outside under his trees relaxing or caring for his horses, cows or chickens. He planted vegetable gardens every year and enjoyed cooking asado on his disco. When not outside you could find him watching old westerns and cowboy movies.
He is preceded in death by his Wife; Corina Rubio, Parents; Jose and Maria Rubio, Brothers; Jose and Telesforo Rubio and Sisters; Elizer Armendariz and Gracia Carrasco.
Those left to cherish his memory are Sons; Henry Rubio Jr ( Kathy) and Edward Rubio (Teresa) both of Odessa; Daughters; Aurora Mendoza and husband Mario of Colorado Springs, CO, Linda Martinez and husband Manuel and Jo Ann Aranda and husband Mike all of Odessa; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; Brothers; Victor, Roberto, Manuel, Jesus Rubio and Sisters Elidia Mendoza, Elida Rivera, Viola Martinez, Francisca Morales and Olivia Covos.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2021 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Martinez Funeral Home. Visitation is Saturday and Sunday May 8-9, 2021 from 1-9pm.
