Eric Gomez

Eric Gomez 38, of Odessa passed away Saturday May 13, 2023, at his residence. He was born June 5, 1984, to Patricio and Maria Valenzuela and his biological mother Irma Gomez in Odessa. He was a Christian Catholic and a machinist for over 15 years. He graduated from Willcox High School in Arizona in 2003. Eric loved to cook, play video games and was a devout 49ers fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jose Valenzuela, nephew Jesus M Martinez Jr., and niece Jesslyn A Martinez.

Eric is survived by his sisters Juana Sierra and husband Angel of Odessa, TX Patricia Baltierrez and husband Jose of Willcox, AZ, Maricela Valenzuela and husband Sergio Padilla of Midland, TX, and Silvia Molinar and husband Samuel of Lubbock, TX. brothers Jesus Gomez and wife Lina of Willcox, AZ., and Alonso Gomez and wife Alma of Odessa, TX.

Eric also leaves to cherish his memory several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation is set for Thursday May 18, 2023, from 1PM-9PM with a rosary at 7PM at Martinez Funeral Home.

Mass is set for 10AM Friday May 19, 2023, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Carlos Rodriguez officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jesus Gomez, Alonso Gomez, Jose Baltierrez, Jesus A Gomez, Hugo Sierra, and Daniel Valenzuela.

Cremation will be at a later date.
