Esperanza Jimenez

Esperanza ’Hope’ R Jimenez 89 passed away Thursday February 6, 2025, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX. She was born, September 8, 1935, to Refugio Ramos and Esther Ramirez in Fort Stockton, TX. She married Jesus Jimenez Sr. May 28, 1970, and were married until his passing July 14,1980.

Esperanza was a homemaker and devout Christian catholic member of St. Anthony’s and St. Joseph’s, churches a Guadalupana and a Curcillista.

Esperanza is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Jesus Jimenez Sr.

She is survived by her 5 children daughter Mary Prieto and husband Elias Jr, son Willie Hill Jr and wife Becky, daughter Jaine Lujan-Timo Ybarra, son Jesus ‘JJ’ Jimenez Jr and wife Delia, and daughter Juliana Lynn and husband Michael,

Esperanza also leaves to cherish her memory 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation is set for Tuesday February 11, 2025, from 10am -9Pm with a rosary at 7pm by La Sociedad Guadalupana at Martinez Funeral Home. 

Mass is set for 10am Wednesday February 12, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Frank Chavez officiating.

Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery in the Rosehill section.

The pallbearers will be Sabino, Marceleno, Adam Marceleno, Kaleb DeAnda, Fidel Ramirez, ZaRae Barragan, Adam Hill and Adrian Hill.
