Eulojio "Loy" Driego Hignojoz Sr. Of Odessa passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
Visitation will be held 9am - 9pm Friday, May 27, 2016 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary at 7pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at 9am Saturday, May 28, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Isidore officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under Martinez Funeral Home.
Eulojio (Loy) was born March 11, 1925 in Saragosa, Texas to Florencio and Bruna Hignojoz of Pecos, Texas. He married Ines Jaquez Hignojoz in 1943 in Pecos, Texas. Eulogio (Loy) was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Eulojio (Loy) always put God and family first in life. He always provided for family never to be without. He served in the National Guard and was an amazing musician and a great mentor to young musicians. He was multi-talented in different trades and skills.
Eulojio (Loy) is preceded in death by his wife Ines, two sons, Jay and Erasmo Hignojoz, one daughter, Juanita (Johnnie) Aguero and a grandson, Eric Hignojoz. His mother Bruna and father Florencio Hignojoz. Eulogio (Loy) was the last living sibling of 19.
Eulojio (Loy) is survived by his sons Eulojio (JR.) Hignojoz of California, Raul Hignojoz of Midland and Martin Jaquez Hignojoz of Odessa, daughters, Rosa Navarette of Pecos, Texas, Ermelinda Jaramillo of Sherman, Texas and Nancy Hignojoz Ortega of Midland and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
