Fernando Flores Lujan

Fernando F. Lujan (“Fernie”) of Monahans, passed away on May 22, 2023 in Odessa, TX. Fernando was born on May 28, 1956 in El Paso TX to Raul and Cruz Lujan. Fernando grew up in Odessa and attended Ector High School where he was a member of the baseball team. After graduation, Fernando enlisted in the United States Army.

Fernando worked as a compressor mechanic in the oilfield for many years until his retirement. In his free time he enjoyed working in his shop, watching movies, and loved listening to music. He was also a proud Veteran and a supporter of POW/MIA.

Fernando is preceded in death by his parents, Cruz and Raul Lujan; brothers, Elmer Lujan, Oscar Lujan, and Sammy Lujan; sisters, Norma Lujan, and Patsy Lujan.

Fernando is survived by Gloria Lujan; son, Eric Salazar and wife Rachael; grandchildren, Aiden and Claire; brother, Raul Lujan Jr.; sisters, Bertha Lujan, Gloria Cruz, Ofelia Barrientes and Rosie Hernandez. Fernando is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
