Franklin Marion Beam, 73, of Odessa passed away on June 13, 2017 in Odessa.
Arrangements for a celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.
Frank was born on September 12, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to Marion and Kathryn Fisher Beam. He was a graduate of Permian High School. He served in the Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served as a police officer with many titles on the Odessa Police Department for 22 years. He also worked as a locksmith for D & K Lock. He married Reba Cook on November 15, 1982 in Odessa.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Odessa, was active with the Rainbow's End Emmaus group, loved perform music on StreetJelly.com and has a few live videos on youtube.com.
He enjoyed singing, playing his guitars, photography and wood working. His unwavering relationship with Christ brought hope to many people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David Dee Beam II, grandson, Justin Beam, brother-in-law, John E. Roberts and great niece, Amy Roberts.
Frank is survived by his wife, Reba Beam, sister, Elsa Roberts, son, Richard Beam and wife, Jamie, daughter, Leighana Jones and husband, Jasper, daughter, Kristi Paredes and husband, James, son, David Beam, daughter, Aimee Diocares and husband, Juan, son, Landon McCan and wife, Christi, son, Eric McCan, nephew, Johnny Roberts and wife, Donna, niece, Pam Simpson and husband, Anthony, 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
