Genaro Hernandez

In Our Heavenly Kingdom and in the Loving Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found a beloved Brother, Father, Grandfather, Great Great Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. Genaro R. Hernandez, 91, years old of Odessa, TX ‘passed away July 15,2017 in Big Spring, TX at the VA home. He was born September 19,1925, in Big Spring, TX to Jose and Petra R. Hernandez. He was a WWII Navy Veteran.
Genaro is preceded in death by his wife Amparo, son Jose, parents Jose and Petra R. Hernandez. Three brothers Jose Esquivel and Theodore, and four sisters Manuela, Magdalena, Frances and Grace.
He is survived by his sons: Felix Hernandez, Genaro Hernandez Jr., Jesus Jose Hernandez, Samuel Hernandez, and Saul Hernandez, daughters: Nancy Castillo, Gilda Guerrero, Ninfa Hernandez , Irma Hernandez, Rosalinda Hernandez, Brother: Isidro Hernandez, sisters: Julia Cruz, Lorenza Paradez, Maria Cruz Hinojos and Josefina Hernandez. 39 grandchildren and 99 great- grandchildren, 35 great- great- grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & many friends. Pallbearers will be Samuel Hernandez, Saul Hernandez, Gene Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, Jose Robert Rodriquez Jr., Valentino Guerrero and Jose Angel Hernandez.
Visitation will be held today, July 18, 2017 from 9am to 9pm with a A Rosary being recited at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be held Wednesday July 19, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery ,The Peaceful Gardens Section.
