Gene Ellis

Gene Edward Ellis, 60 of Odessa passed away on April 6, 2014 at his residence in Odessa, Texas.
He was born on April 20, 1953 in Colorado City Texas to Seamon Ellis Jr. and Theresa Woods Ellis. Gene graduated from Ector High School in 1971. He was employed with the Odessa American for many years and later with Big Tex Trailers.

Gene loved life and was a friend to all that knew him.. On Sunday, April 6, 2014 , Gene walked away from this life into the Kingdom of God.

He was preceded in death by his father Seamon Ellis and his brother Travis Ellis.

He is survived by his mother Teresa Ellis of Odessa, TX.: Son: Cache Wright of Odessa, TX Daughter: Shekha Wright of Odessa, TX: Two brothers Troy Ellis of Odessa, TX. Robert Ellis and wife Ella of Holland Netherlands Two Sisters Virginia Rosser and husband Jonnie of Bellville Ill. And Slvia Wilson and husband Jimmie of Lubbock, TX. Granddaughter Nichole and a host of other relatives and friends

Visitation will be on Sunday April 13, 2014 at Martinez Funeral Home from Noon to 9:00 PM.

Services will be held on Monday April 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Rose Of Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Flinn Officiating.

Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery Peaceful Garden Section
