Germana Baeza

Germana (Fermana) Baeza, of Balmorhea, Texas, passed away on August 4, 2021, in Odessa, Texas.

A small viewing will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, August 9,2021, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Balmorhea, Texas with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.  A Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Balmorhea Cemetery. The church occupancy is at 100%. Masks are MANDATORY inside the church at all times and strongly encouraged at the cemetery.

Germana was born in Balmorhea, Texas to Guadalupe and Dominga Galindo on October 23, 1937. She married Juan Baeza and together they raised their four children in Balmorhea. Germana was a kind and witty soul who enjoyed classic country music, Spanish novellas, and American soap operas. Germana’s love for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild was unparalleled; she enjoyed spending time with them. Germana will always be remembered for her quick-witted conversations and her famous chili colorado.

Germana is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Baeza; her brothers, Victorio Galindo and Gilbert Galindo.

Germana is survived by her four children: Abel Baeza of Balmorhea, Tx, Irma Baeza of Odessa, TX, Johnny Baeza (Margo Baeza) of Round Rock, TX, and Sammy Baeza (Lori Baeza) of Odessa, TX; three siblings, Epifanio Galindo (Maria Elena Galindo) of Alpine, TX, Lorenza Rodriguez of Balmorhea, TX, and Santiago Galindo (Sally Galindo) of San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren, Nathian Shae Rodriguez, Adriana Baeza, Kevin Rodriguez, Keith Baeza, Shaun Baeza, Juan Baeza, Carlos Baeza, Marco Baeza, Daniel Bejarano, and Natalie Baeza; fifteen great-grandchildren, Kiara, Kevin Jason, Julianna, Emiliana, Sabastian, Divinity, Roman, Eric, Bryson, Mila, Kason, Noah, Maya, Liam, and Kamilah; 1 great-great-grandchild, Mateo.

Pallbearers are as follows, Carlos Baeza, Juan Baeza, Keith Baeza, Shaun Baeza, Marco Baeza, Nathian Rodriguez, Kevin Rodriguez, and Daniel Bejarano.

Memorials may be given to Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory in Odessa Texas, and Christ the King Catholic Church in Balmorhea, Texas.
