Gilbert Valenzuela

Gilbert Tarango Valenzuela, 81, was embraced by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Odessa. Gilbert was born on February 20, 1936 in Alpine Texas to Manuel Valenzuela and Jesusita Tarango.
Gilbert was loving father. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Gilbert love to weld before retiring. He also loved to Joke with his friends.
Those left to cherish his precious memories are his sons: Gilbert Valenzuela Jr. (Laura), Jose Luis Valenzuela, daughters; Maria Aida Valenzuela, Jesusita Valenzuela, Sara Tarango( Alberto), Veronica Latham( Preston) Alma Becerra(Sergio), brothers: Alfonso Valenzuela, George Valenzuela, and Reymundo Valenzuela, grandchildren(21) Pricilla Ochoa, Gilbert Valenzuela III, Angel Valenzuela, Gregorio Valenzuela, Mario Costa, Ashley Gomez, Adam Valerio, Maria Zavala, Erica Cuevas, Michael Tarango, Christina Tarrango, Steven Beamish, Tyler Brawley, Brittany Brawley, Marisella Bueno, Grisellda Ramirez, Sergio Becerra Jr., Jazmin Valenzuela and Natilie Valenzuela, 38 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his wife; Irene Valenzuela, parents; Manuel and Jesusita Valenzuela, brother; Manuel Valenzuela Jr., sister; Julia Valenzuela, brother; Joe Valenzuela.
Pallbears will be Gilbert Valenzuela III, Angel Valenzuela, Mario Costa, Adam Valerio, David Valerio, and Michael Tarango.
Visitation will be Today, Sunday, February 18, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Visitation will continue Monday, February 19,2018 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:00pm. at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Martinez Funeral home.
