Gilberto Barrientes

Gilberto Barrientes, 83, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Odessa, Texas.
He was born July 12, 1930 in El Valle, Mexico to Tony Barrientes and his stepmother Marcela Barrientes.
He married Trinidad Gonzalez Barrientes who preceded him in death.
Gilberto is also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steve Barrientes.
A rosary will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel at 7pm.
A funeral mass will be held at 10am,Thursday, February 6, 2014 at St. Josephs Catholic Church, with Father Chavez officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Gilberto is survived by his children, Joe L. Barrientes Sr. and his wife Judy, Gilbert Barrientes and his wife Corina, his daughters, Lupe Ramos and Norma Linda Barrientes, Juan Barrientes, his stepbrother, Eduardo Barrientes, his brothers, Tony Barrientes, Troy Barrientes, David Barrientes, his sisters, Aurora Barrientes, Virginia Longoria, Maui Barrientes, twentyone grandchildren and fortythree greatgrandchildren.
Gilberto loved to go fishing and spending time with family having barbeques. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan.
A special thanks to Delia Sosa his nurse for taking extra special care of him.
Pallbearers will be, Miguel Barrientes Jr., Isaac Barrientes, Joe L. Barrientes III, Christopher Barrientes, Juan Barrientes Jr., Angel Ramos, Francisco Ramos and Jacob Barrientes.
Services are under the direction of Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory.
