Gladys Blaylock

April 4, 1932 — May 23, 2015

Gladys Blaylock was born on April 4, 1932 in Cameron, Texas to the late Victor Brittian Price and Sarah Price-Banks.

Gladys was called home on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Sienna Nursing Home in Odessa, Texas. She was 83 years old.

She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Union Ridge Baptist Church in Maysfield, Texas. She moved to Cameron, Texas and united with Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. In 1961 she moved to Odessa, Texas and united with Rose of Sharon Baptist Church and worked as a faithful member until she suffered a debilitating stroke in October 2011.

Gladys absolutely adored her family. She especially loved to be with her grand-children, to make them laugh and, would change plans on a moment's notice if she needed to be with them. She was a praying woman and loved to study the Word of God and attend her beloved Rose of Sharon Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her beautiful memories:

Her daughter Debra Ann Kelly, Houston, TX; nephew David Lynn Burditt, Odessa, TX; brother James Willis Price, Fort Worth, TX; first-cousin Kathryn Allen., Austin, TX.; son, Michael Dwight Price, Fort Worth, TX.

She leaves behind six grand-children, Marcellus-Renard, Kristopher-Bradley, Mario-Victor, Britiany-Nicole, Micheal-Kanessa and Horace-Davis; eleven great grand-children, Marcus-Raymond, Jaquille-Marcellus, Derrick-Tyrek, Elijah-Allen, NaKevion-Benjhamin, Jamarion-Desmond Javan-Marcell, K'Aja-Diane, Chance-Kameron, Scottland-Bradley, Kennedy-Elise and one great-great grandson Jayden-Michael and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday May 29, 2015 at 3:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church located at 7th and Lee, Odessa, TX 79761. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery Peaceful Garden Section. Services are entrusted to Martinez Funeral Home, Funeral Director in charge Tony Lujan.

Memorials: The family requests that in-lieu of flowers any donations may be made to the Rose of Sharon Building Fund.
