Gloria Abila

Gloria Tarin Abila age 67, of Odessa went home to our Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loving family and grandchildren on Friday, May 20, 2016. She was born in Grandfalls, Texas on February 8, 1949 to Susana and Francisco Tarin. She was married to Robert A. Abila for over 48 years. Gloria was a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life was a beautiful example of faith, love, and selfless giving to anyone she encountered. Her joy and happiness in life was her family and friends. She enjoyed visiting. To our family, she was our source of inspiration and our guiding light.
She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Abila; her 4 daughters, Debbie Puga, Sally Abila, Nome Lopez, Natalie Abila; her 4 sons, Chim Abila, Robert Abila Jr., Chris Abila, Ruben Abila, all of Odessa. 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 23rd from 5pm-9pm and Tuesday, May 24th from 9am-9pm. The rosary will be Tuesday, May 24th at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, May 25th at 10am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory.
