GRACIELA (Gracie, Chela) G. CARRASCO, passed away on September 11, 2020 in Odessa, Texas.
Funeral services are under the direction of Martinez Funeral Home.
Gracie was born to Pablo O. Carrasco and Anita G. Carrasco on March 16, 1954. She went to school in Redford, Texas, where she lived most of her life.
Gracie is preceded in death by her father, Pablo O. Carrasco.
Gracie is survived by her mother, Anita G. Carrasco. Her brothers: Armando Carrasco (Beverly), Pablo G. Carrasco (Nancy), Hector Carrasco (Maria), Jose Luis Carrasco (Alicia), sisters: Sally Mendias (Ben), Thelma Miller (Trey), Rosaleen Tarango (Roy), and many nieces and nephews.
Gracie was a very loving and caring person. She always had a smile on her face, even on a bad day. She called everyone mija or mijo. That was her term of endearment. She loved listening to Spanish music, watching novelas, shopping and being around her family. She loved caring for stray animals. There were always stray cats outside the house. That made her so happy.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Medical Center Hospital for the care given to Gracie during her last days on earth. These are very difficult times because of the pandemic. Your communication with the families that are struggling with what is happening is beyond admirable. Thank You from the bottom of our heart.
Adios “La Flor Del Polvo.” Until we meet again. Love and kisses our Chelita. You are rejoicing in the Kingdom of God.
“A limb has fallen from OUR FAMILY TREE that says grieve not for me remember the best time is the laughter, the song the GOOD LIFE I LIVED when I was strong.”
