Guadalupe Ramirez, 68, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Hospice House. He was born January 29, 1945 in Marfa to Guadalupe and Paula Estrada Ramirez.
He was faithful and dedicated with the time the Lord had given him, to visit with all his family whether it was for his wife, his kids, his grandbabies, his nieces Jennifer, Iris, Missy, Joana, Estella, and Sue, his nephews Roy Jr., Sammy, Gilbert, Freddy, and Albert, his inlaws, or extended family. He knew the preciousness of time. Despite his circumstances he found great joy in being with loved ones and friends. In turn, he was a blessing to all those whom hed visit.

He served the Lord and his community through New Life and Kairos Prison ministries, the Cursillo movement, St. Marys bereavement, and to his friends at Southside Senior Citizen Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Paula Ramirez brother, Sammy Ramirez and sisters, Ida Rivera and Irene Bernard.
He is survived by his wife, Monica Lopez Ramirez of Odessa sons, Robert Ramirez of Midland, Paul and Ralph Ramirez, both of Odessa daughters, Lena Javier Gomez of Midland and Morena Ramirez of Odessa brother, Michael Glenda Ramirez of Cleburne 9 grandchildren 3 greatgrandchildren 5 nephews and 6 nieces.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 9 AM 9 PM at MartinezSmith Funeral Chapels with the Rosary being recited at 7 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Marys Catholic Church with Fr. Santiago Udayar officiating. Inurnment of cremated remains will be conducted privately by the family.
