Guillermo “Junior” Vasquez, Jr. of Odessa, TX, passed away on April 17^th, 2024, in Odessa, TX.

Public Visitation will be from 10:00AM – 09:00PM on Tuesday, April 23^rd, 2024, at Martinez Funeral Home ~ Outside ~ Chapel, with the Prayer Service/Rosary at 07:00PM on the same day at the same location. Funeral services will be held at 02:00PM on Wednesday, April 24^th, 2024, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, with Father Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery Rosehill Section at 03:00PM. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Junior was born in Odessa to Guillermo Vasquez, Sr., and Pauline Garza Vasquez on December 07, 1954. He was a decorated athlete, and a proud Bronco of Odessa High School. He married Angela Leyva on October 11, 1975, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. He graduated from New Mexico State University in 1974. He owned at worked for his private business, Vasquez Construction and Roofing, LLC in Fort Worth, TX for over 30 years.

Junior is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Vasquez, Raynaldo “Ray” Vasquez, and Romero Vasquez, and his parents Guillermo Vasquez, Sr and Pauline Garza Vasquez.

Junior is survived by his three sons and their spouses, Marlon Vasquez and Carolina Vasquez, Leo Vasquez and Kristin Vasquez, and Jay Vasquez; and his longtime spouse Angela Leyva. He is survived by his four grandchildren Jorge Vasquez, Catalina Vasquez, Eliana Vasquez, and Elyse Vasquez. He is survived by his three sisters, Dorothy Martinez, Ana Marie Brown, and Elva Vasquez.
