J.B. Osborn Jr., 80 of Odessa passed away on November 19, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX.,
J.B. was born in Abilene, TX to J.B. Sr. and Ethel Osborn on September 5, 1933. He went to school in Abilene.
He married Trudy Ann Baker on October 6, 1965 in Odessa, TX.
J.B. worked as an auto mechanic for CC Garage and D J Automotive for several years before opening his own business, J.B.s Auto Repair.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Navy.
He was involved in the West Texas Street Rod Association, Intl Practical Shooters Confederation and S.A.S.S. Single Action Shooters Society. He received numerous awards for two street rods that he built from the ground up, a 1927 Ford Tall Top T and a 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery. He also received numerous awards in shooting.
J.B. is preceded in death by his parents J.B. Sr. and Ethel Osborn.
J.B. is survived by his wife Trudy Osborn of Odessa a daughter Kimberley Osborn and her husband Christopher Knabe and his children, Stephen and Stephanie Knabe.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Azarov, Dr. Parks, and all the nurses, and the rest of the staff at MCH who were involved in J.B.s care.
A Memorial service with military Honors will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM with Jimmy Braswell officiating.
