Jacinto Herrera, 45, of Odessa, Texas passed away on December 25, 2016 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Visitation will be from 2-9 pm on December 27th, 9am-7pm Wednesday December 28th with a Rosary from 7-9 pm at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Thursday December 29th, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church 907 Dixie Odessa, Texas with Father Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery, section Odessa 2.
Jacinto was born March 22, 1971 to Maria and Manuel Herrera. He attended school in Odessa, Texas. He caught the love of his life Christina Herrera and hooked her on April 16, 1998. He worked as an electrician for Bird Electric. He was an avid fisherman, a great father, and a loving husband. He loved the outdoors. Fishing and camping were his favorite pass times.
He is preceded in death by his father Manuel Herrera, maternal grandparents Marcos and Maria (Lola) Rios and paternal grandfather Jesus Herrera and nephew Jonathan Morales.
Jacinto is survived by his spouse Christina Herrera: mother Maria Herrera, sons Jacinto Herrera Jr. and Daniel Herrera: daughters Carmen Herrera, Jacelyn Herrera, and Sofia Herrera: brothers Manuel Herrera Jr., Alfredo Herrera, and Marcos Herrera: sisters Sally Morales, Nancy Pinon, Bertha Gomez, Norma Chavez, Adriana Herrera, Christina Herrera: grandson, his pride and joy, Matias Herrera and by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Pall bears are Ramon Anchondo, Lupe Anchondo, Moses Casillas, Manuel Herrera Jr., Alfredo Herrera, Marcos Herrera, Anthony Morales, and Emilio Herrera.
We the family of Jacinto Herrera would like to thank Home Hospice for their wonderful care. We would like to extend our best wishes to family members and friends for their prayers and thoughtful words of encouragement during this difficult time.
